Attorney Jesse MacGyver Morse
I served as a prosecutor in Pinellas County, where I saw how the government builds and evaluates DUI cases, how breath results are treated, how officer reports are written and where the weaknesses tend to be.
Before that, I spent six years in the United States Air Force as an Intelligence Analyst. That work was built on preparation, analysis and attention to detail, and it is the same approach I bring to a DUI file.
I also spent time with a major plaintiff-side firm handling personal injury matters, so I know how large firms operate. When you hire my firm, you work directly with me, not a case manager, not a call center.

DUI & Related Charges
A first arrest still carries license, record and insurance consequences. We review the stop, the testing and the paperwork.
Prior cases change the exposure. Strategy starts with a careful look at how the prior matters were handled.
Testing procedures, machine maintenance and refusal notices are all reviewable parts of a DUI case.
Cases involving a crash bring added evidence and added pressure. Preparation matters even more.
On-water stops follow different rules than roadside stops. Florida Fish & Wildlife enforcement is a core part of this practice.
The administrative side of a DUI moves on its own short timeline, separate from the criminal case.

DUI Defense in Florida
A Florida DUI is really two cases. The criminal case moves through the court system. The administrative case involves your driving privileges and starts running almost immediately after the arrest, which is why the first days matter.
Every DUI begins somewhere: a lane change, a taillight, a checkpoint, a crash. The reason for the stop is part of the case, and so is what the officer wrote about it afterward.
Roadside exercises are conducted under conditions that are rarely ideal. Breath and blood testing depend on equipment, maintenance records and trained operators. Each of those areas can be reviewed.
Whether you provided a sample or declined one, your driving privileges are affected on a separate track from the court case, with its own short window to act.
Boating under the influence cases in Florida's Gulf Coast often involve Florida Fish & Wildlife officers rather than road patrol. The rules for an on-water stop differ from a roadside stop, and that experience is uncommon among defense attorneys.

As soon as you reasonably can. Florida places a short deadline on the administrative side of a DUI, so the days immediately after an arrest matter for your driving privileges as well as for the criminal case.
A DUI arrest triggers an administrative process involving your driving privileges that is separate from the criminal court case. We review your paperwork, explain the deadlines that apply to your situation and discuss the options available to you.
No. A breath or blood result is one piece of evidence, and it can be examined like any other, including how the stop was made, how the testing was performed and whether procedures were followed. Every case is evaluated on its own facts.
Yes. Boating under the influence and other Florida Fish & Wildlife enforcement matters are a meaningful part of this practice, which is uncommon among DUI defense attorneys.
